So with the signing of Ford, and the assumed demotion of AA and mantha where is everyone thinking everyone plays? even with AA and mantha maybe up in Motown at times, im counting 7 veterans 5 forwards 2 at D. and how I understand it is 6 veterans is the limit

That is correct and maybe more to come from Detroit depending on the outcome of training camp...

Apparently Aubry signed and they are still considering adding Cleary...that doesn't even count if Jensen, Sproul or Ouellet come back down so we could be looking at 9, 10 vets? Wonder how they'll juggle that

Jensen, Sproul and Ouellet will not count as vets if they return because they have played less than 260 games which is the cutoff. The veterans currently slated to be in GR was of today are:
D Bryan Lashoff D Nathan Paetsch LW Eric Tangradi C Ben Street RW Matt Ford RW Mitch Callahan C Louis-Marc Aubry
Steve Ott could conceivable be assigned by Detroit out of training camp, depending on how the numbers game works out and of course Dan Cleary continues to be rumored to return.
The team can dress up to 5 veterans and a sixth player with less than 320 games played. GR currently stands at 7 and Ott or Cleary would make it 8 or 9...

Id imagine Aubry is the odd man out baring injury. with the GR only contract and he's played in toldeo before when the # game pushed him out. hard to see them sitting anyone else. although we'd seen a Vet rotation in the past.

So now with Cleary signed to GR, up to 3 vets will have to sit each night? Yikes.

I believe this for sure puts aubry in Toledo (shame he's been solid). and cleary will play about as much as rechliz did last year 20 games. he's almost being brought in as more of a coach on the ice and locker room I'd imagine. or at least hope so.
