IMHO - Ryan CERTAINLY deserves a "call-up" Few players play with his desire and two-way talents - I hope we don't see another "Griffin", (ala Richards & Ellis), as McNamara described him, lost to another team - that too, would be a big loss, as well as a shame!

I'd like to see Ryan in the NHL too.
However, when you take into consideration the Wings' love affair with their veteran players, I feel Oulie's break will be with another NHL club.

I agree with Jack, Ryan definitely deserves a call up with the way he's played this year, and the last couple of years. Ever since adding that edge to his game, his offense has gone way up, and he's a legit threat to score every night. I hope he gets the call, even it ifs just to see how he could handle the NHL's level of play. He's got the kind of work ethic a lot of "superstars" could use.

For Ryan's sake, I hope he gets his chance; he has definitely earned it! For four years now, he has done everything asked of him - even modelling without complaint the new style jerseys with Insana when they first came out. He looked like he may have thought the assignment was ridiculous, but he did it with a serious look on his face the whole time the photographer was taking pictures. I don't know how he did it; I even laughed along with Insana when the photographer made one of them stand backwards (with his butt to the camera) so that the front and back could be viewed together side-by-side.
From a purely selfish perspective, I only hope that Ryan doesn't get claimed on waivers on his way back down to GR. I would hate to lose such a solid two-way player.

I completely agree Mama, selfishly I'd hate to see us lose Ryan in much the same way as we did Ellis and Quincey; for nothing in return. Ryan brings a lot of tangibles to the game, the most being his leadership ability. He's still young, but he sees the ice incredibly well, on top of being a really personable guy; can't help but want to see this guy succeed, much as most of us felt with Ellis.
