Hey, Coyote! Why not give us a recap of your experience. The Detroit hotels post had more than sixty hits, so I think folks would be interested.
By the way, which jersey did you wear?

It is still a sight to drive down the freeway, come out of the tunnel and see JLA. I was in my Nagy, 'yotes jersey... and I got the girlfriend to wear my Osgood jersey. The Wings game was just awesome. I went in expecting a one sided victory for the Wings. So I'm standing in line for beer, and this already plastered fan starts trying to talk trash. He slurs his way to an insult, and even his buddies started laughing at him. We sat row 1, on the face off dot - wings side. I saw a couple Griffin fans sitting on the other side of the arena, with a Meech jersey, and an Ellis one. So to start the game, I again thought it would be a long night. The wings were out shooting them 11-3, and it just wasn't looking good. Then the 'yotes seemed to figure out the Wings. They could just clog the middle of the ice, and the wings would keep turning the puck over. The wings were just standing around (hmmmm maybe they ARE the parent club?)Winnick made a great steal on Lilja (or bad turnover depending...) and beat Ozzie. I start clapping, and the guy next to me FINALLY realizes I don't have a wings jersey on... When the 'yotes scored again, I had 3 sections booing me. the ZDH line really showed me why they are who they are. They were really kicking butt all night. The third goal really hurt, not because the Wings took the lead, but because Boynton got injured. That goal would never had happened if he was up on his skates, but hey, no biggie. These are the games that the good teams steal. That post in the third was right in front of me, I almost $*** my self. You see it hit the post, then the 'yotes try and swat at it, and they can't. It was a great game, I saw the Wings adjust in the third, and score when they needed to. I am proud of the 'yotes for actually playing, and out working the Wings. It was definately a win-win for me.
The MAC championship game was a blast, too. We were front row, on the 10 yard line. So we saw CMU drive a couple times, and Miami (OH)'s one TD, too. Sounds like we're going back for the Motor City Bowl on the 26th.
