In case you didn't tune in, today was the first day that ESPN was on the FM dial here in GR. The local afternoon show was great. Beligien is a self professed hockey nutt and in fact anounces for the Whalers. I look forward to listening more during the season. I hope you all tune in.

You're missing out... you can't get a local sports show on either of those... Mr. Kindl came up in talk today.

What's the matter RW's - ya don't like ESPO? (just a guess) Geez, I hate to embarrass myself (although you'd think I'd be used to it by now), but I haven't heard the huge show in such a long time I don't even know what ESPO is. But if it's related to huge, you're probably right, I wouldn't like it.

RW - I was talking about listening to the NHL Network show on XM - with Phil Esposito - maybe we weren't talking about the same thing - sorry if I confused you -

Jack, yeah, we were on two different pages. I was referring to the huge show, the local big mouth, name dropper who know's little to nothing about hockey. I haven't listened to him in a couple of years.
It's funny, 'cause when you said ESPO, Phil Esposito is naturally who immediately pops to mind. In fact, I was a pretty big Esposito fan back in the late 70s. At that time, the only hockey on our cable system was Madison Square Garden Network. So I became a Ranger fan. That's back when they had Espo, Ron Duguay, Dave and Don Maloney, Walter Tkachuk, John Davidson in net, Carol Vadnais.
Of course, that all changed in the 80s when they finally added PASS sports and WKBD which carried the Wings.

Little side question to this topic. Do you you guys listen to the Griffins on the radio when they're away, or are you following the game some other way.
I have to admit, if I'm not at the game I love listening on WOOD AM.
