Hopefully they'll call him up again this year because we could definitely use the toughness he brought to the line up.

Oh ya, that was classic. Ya almost had to feel sorry for the poor puppy when Brett turned around because he tried to get away and Brett grabbed him. If he's bigger than you, best to leave him alone if ya don't know the numbers. ;D

There was a brawl at the end of a game and I grabbed a jersey in the pile. Then he stood up ... It turned out to be Kent "Killer" Carlson. (He was drafted by the Canadiens and was mostly used as a fighter in the NHL.) I grabbed all 6'3" of him without realizing who it was. He looked down at all 5'7" of me and said, "You DON'T want to do this!". I looked up at him and said "You're F***ing right I don't!". We skated away while the rest of the guys battled. It actually broke the fight up because they noticed us holding each others jerseys so they all stopped fighting to see what we were gonna do. We made it look good until the refs broke it up. No punches were thrown. I thanked him for not killing me after the game and we had a laugh over it. Sometimes discretion is the better part of valor. Brian

Earlier you posted the best non-hockey post on the other board and now this beauty on this board. Freakin' great. This is the kind of story you'd expect Mickie to tell right after finishing up a Gump Worsley story.
