Thought it would be a good thing to look into....I was wondering how everyone feels about Gov. stamping a big VETO on the bill trying to rid the helmet law...

Maybe it's because I'm from NH, but I'm a huge believer in an adult's right to make his/her own decisions regarding seatbelt use, helmets, etc.

Being from CANADA....If you are involved in a motorcycle accident, and you were not wearing your helmet, chances are good that you would have some sort of brain damage....who pays for that??? up here...we all do. I support the helmet law, why should we have to pay for someones ill- judgement.

Not much different from the B.S. no fault insurance here in MI.
I got hit from behind by an a**hole who wasn't paying attention. MY insurance has to pay for my damaged vehicle, lost wages, medical expenses, etc. Although they say my insurance won't go up, I'll have to see it to believe it. Total horse**** !

Hey thought I would let you all know. I recieved a letter from Lansing...good ole Jennifer G. wrote me and thanked me for the support on the VETO. There is our tax dollars at good use, at least I know that someone did take the time to read the letter I send to her. With the way the polls are looking now, it looks like she may be moving out of Lansing soon. I don't know how I feel about that yet. I know I am not happy with everything that has happened in Lansing over the passed couple of years. But I also know that I am not really sure about putting DeVos in Lansing either. He wanted the Helmet law passed, even after he became a rider himself. Is this another accident waiting to happen?
